34th ANNUAL CSA SALMON DINNER
Yes, its that time of year again. We will be hosting our
35th Annual Fundraising Dinner on Friday, April 20tht at Jenkins
Hall, Dalhousie Agricultural College.
The evening begins with a reception from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Arrive
early to delight in bacon-wrapped scallops and the ever popular
oyster bar. It will be catered by our own Janet Callaghan, a former
N.S. Oyster Shucking Champion and Guinness World Record Holder.
Take time to peruse our silent and live auction items. The Live
Auction offers two great fishing trips...a Gaspe trip for two
rods and a chance to fish three rivers
a New Brunswick trip
to Oxbow Lodge for two anglers, three days of fly fishing for
striped bass.
Following the reception, dinner will consist of land-raised salmon,
oven-roasted potatoes, salad and a fresh vegetable medley. Imagine
a desert of freshly-baked Oxford blueberry pie and ice cream.
During the evening, three raffles will take place: one for the
ladies, one for the lobster lovers and the ever popular Wines
of the World raffle.
This event has been sold out since its inception. Tickets are
$50.00. Presently, they are on sale at the Bank of Nova Scotia,
Inglis Place, Truro or from any CSA director. Purchase early to
be eligible for the Early Bird draw, $150.00 worth of salmon bucks
that can be used to bid on any of our prizes in either auction.
It will be an evening of meeting, greeting, fundraising and good
times. Thank you for your continued support over the last thirty-five
years.
